The Field of Possibility
My Personal Field of Possibility
Happy Summer!
My heartfelt good wishes to you. I hope you have emerged from the last couple of years with the loving support of family and friends. I promised to stay in touch and provide updates on my Work.
A Process
The pandemic has affected us both individually and collectively. My experience has been one of grief and grace.
Numerous ongoing classes and studies were an integral part of my practice. I taught yoga full-time. My schedule offered challenge and reward through a variety of teaching experiences: weekly studio classes in Phoenix and Chandler, lunch-time classes at the Arizona Supreme Court, corporate classes, staff classes at Phoenix Children’s Hospital and Hospice of the Valley, senior chair yoga classes in Casa Grande and Scottsdale as well as long-time private clients. I often drove 1,500 miles a month!
The pandemic upended my career. In March 2020, every one of my teaching opportunities came to a screeching halt. I taught remotely for a short time before taking a sabbatical from teaching.
"Both/And": Grief & Lightness, Heartache & Joy
The abrupt end of long-time classes and relationships was shocking. I missed teaching. My heart broke as beloved yoga studios closed without proper goodbyes to students and colleagues. I was forced to let go of my career as it had been for almost 20 years.
A sense of lightness and freedom simultaneously accompanied my grief. Time away from teaching allowed me to attend to personal and family business. In time, a field of possibility opened before me. Senior chair yoga classes started up again, subbing gigs returned and I offered an outdoor yoga class in my neighborhood this summer. A well-lived life is full of both heartache and joy.
New Public Classes
Creativity is born of spaciousness. My teacher often said, “Timing is Grace." It is time. Please join me for these upcoming classes.
